Okay and Spa Day!

Our neighbor came through his hip surgery just fine and was anxious to begin his physical therapy today.  Thank heavens!  Because the worst of the worrying is over I relaxed today.

Rather than cook breakfast for everyone we ate the cinnamon rolls baked yesterday.

Once jazzed up on caffeine and sugar I pulled weeds and thinned the carrots in the garden. I intended on spreading some fish fertilizer, however, the jug of concentrated fertilizer is missing. Hopefully it shows up soon. I can imagine it rolling around in the back of one of the cars waiting to break. That would be some serious rotten fish funk.

Next I listed items on eBay. Once again, my goals are to get rid of extraneous items and free up room in our garage and house.  Where does this stuff come from and how does it multiply so fast?

With the listings out of the way I spent the afternoon at a private spa hoping to relax.  At the exclusive retreat I enjoyed private, state of the art amenities.

Attendants served me gourmet food.

And a highly trained specialist performed a combination of massage and acupuncture practiced in the isolated reaches of Siam. Of course, with Tasha being part Siamese she is privy to all trade secrets. Those needles are sharp!

Henley Perfected has been incarcerated in knitting prison. Not that it did anything wrong… I just don’t want to make this right now.  I cast on, knitted and subsequently frogged about 4 inches of the back of a sweater made with the Rowan All Season’s Cotton yarn today. It didn’t feel right either.

Now off for an evening (hopefully uninterrupted) bath. Cheers!

Looks like the best spa in the world. Good for the soul. I understand about Henley Perfected. Got one like that myself. And, Tasha is very adept. She has had manymanymany years to perfect her craft. Have a lovely weekend dearheart.

  3. Terrific!!! I knew he’s be just fine – thanks to your wonderful care. That spa sounds so lovely – and I bet it’s very economical too. 🙂

  4. Yay for neighbor!
    And garden fresh produce.
    And massaging kitties.
    And solo, uninterrupted bath time!

  5. Love the new look of the blog! Those cinnamon rolls look soo good….wanna share??

I’ve been feeling a lot like you – trying to get rid of as much stuff as I can in my house. I keep thinking…what the heck did I buy THAT for??

Good luck with your clearing out!

  6. I need a spa day! I have morning tea service most days from a sweet girl (who is also a tea drinker and quilter!), but an acupuncture massage, cold treats, and a chance to sit and knit!!
How’s the week of the 21st looking for you? Maybe we can drive down for a short visit?
    Hugs, Karen

  7. Love your spa day! And blessings on your neighbor. I hope his recuperation goes quickly and smoothly.

Simultaneous accupuncture and massage, Siamese style. The next big trend in Hollywood I betcha!
