School starts again in 13 days, however, on Monday A1 begins daily practices for volleyball and on the 27th I have an all day training session for work. In addition to this we have two doctor’s appointments, a back to school carnival and other various activities to squeeze in. This really cuts into the remaining vacation.
We’re also in the tedious process of sorting through clothes, seeing what fits and, if needed, what can be hemmed or mended in preparation for the upcoming year. A3 presents quite a challenge because she refuses to part with anything.
Yesterday we gutted A1’s bedroom, prepped the walls and painted. Here is a before and after shot.
She went from four shades of ultra-brights (pink, orange, lime green and turquoise) to a pale green. We purged two large garbage bags full of clothes from her dressers and closets. The endeavor took the entire day so besides from casting on yet another necessary dishrag I’ve no knitting, spinning or crafty news to share. The weather has been glorious so I’m chasing the girls into the yard and pool at every opportunity to exploit their remaining days of freedom. Cheers!
