Goodbye 2009

It’s raining! I know, hard to believe for western Washington, but it’s true.  Even the snowman A3 made two days ago is trying to keep dry.

We’ve made no New Year’s Eve plans to go out.  Instead we’re spending and evening at home with the girls and toasting in the new decade with Sparkling Cider.    If time permits, I’ll work some more on this quilt today.

It was started in 1998 for a friend who is a Frank Sinatra fan. That means it will have  officially been around during three decades before being completed.  Of course, that’s assuming I finish it.  This makes it one of my oldest UFOs.  Talk about procrastination… it’s embarrassing.

Bonny has temporarily came out of hiding.  This may change once Roxie makes an appearance.

What is it about cats having to sit right in the middle of what you’re doing?  She decided to make this puzzle important and “help” out by moving pieces around. Hopefully they can all be found again.

My mom is feeling better and they’re having friends over to their house tonight.  My BIL, Bruce is celebrating with friends in New Orleans. I’m not sure what everyone else in the family is doing. Do you have big plans for ringing in the new year?

Nope, but Happy New Year, kiddo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Roxie

Love the snowman with the umbrella! Classic Pac Northwest!

Big plans for tonight. We plan to eat leftovers, watch TV, go to bed as usual, and when the neighbors light their firecrackers, we will roll over, kiss, and wish one another a good 2010. And go back to sleep.

    The quilt is awesome!

Bonny wants to make it easy for you. She sits in the middle of what you’re doing so you don’t have to leave it to admire and appreciate her.

  3. Great giggles over the snowman with the umbrella! My big New Year’s Eve plan: struggle to stay awake until midnight so I can drink a proper toast to someone not even here. There will be brownie cheesecake with my daughter and her bf, too. Enjoy your sparkling cider with those beautiful daughters!

  5. Love the umbrella and snowman picture.

    Happy January!
