On This Soggy Tuesday

This entire week’s forecast is for showers with temperatures in the 50’s.  Aaaah!  Packing up the car and driving until we find sun may be on the agenda for the upcoming weekend.

Only a few more rows were added to the plain socks in progress.  The colors perfectly match the pansies drowning in our front yard.

Only 17 school days remain and three of those are half days.  The end of my work year windeth down and again I ponder seeking summer employment.  Three months without a paycheck are rough.  If employment that wouldn’t require daycare could be found then working may be plausible.   In addition to finding something that’s different hours than my husband’s job I need to make sure that I can get A3 to wrestling camp, A1 to cheerleading practices (she made the J.V. squad for her Freshman year) and A2 to art lessons (we’re still researching those). At some point I’d love to have the girls take swimming lessons too.  They’ve yet to attend formal classes.   Maybe having a clone who could work would be a better option. Perhaps I’ll try knitting one.

Cheers!

  1. Love the matchy-matchy with the pansies!

  2. Wow, that’s a BEAUTIFUL photograph of the sock and flowers. True Sock Pr0n.
I’ll swap your weather. it’s hazy, hot and humid here. Too hot to be outside, so I’m sitting inside in front of a fan, spinning yarn.
Bring on the fall weather! Gimme snow!

  3. Hope the summer brings opportunities you haven’t even thought of!!! Well…a clone would be a wonder person…Does a clone wear a skirt?
    Cheers Gillian

Love the pansy socks! And in the search for sun, try heading east of the cascades.

How about write on demand? I’m going to give it a shot this summer. You write well and should have no trouble turning out pieces for money.

  5. Oooohhh, pansies. I just love them!!! So of course, I just love your sock too. 🙂

  6. Love the colors in the pansy socks.
